Find Your Lost Bluetooth Devices
Locate Lost Devices
Our app has the ability to help you find your lost Bluetooth device using our device locator functionality. Our application has multiple areas in our user interface designed to help you locate your lost Bluetooth device. If your headphones, earbuds, or Fitbit, are still powered on, we should be able to help you find them. Signils can locate lost devices that are paired or unpaired to your device.
How we find them, and what part of our app you use depends on if you had paired or connected the device to your Android Tablet or phone. If the lost device you need to locate has previously been paired or connected, you can use the slider selector "I lost device" that can be found in My Devices ➟ Your Device ➟ Device Details to start the process to locate the lost device. Enable the slider and then select "Yes" when the app asks you "Do you want to find a device?". Next, click Start Scanning. We use the signal strength (SSI) from the device to help you track down its location. High numbers mean you're far away, lower numbers mean that you're close. Once you've found it, select "I found my device".
If you're looking for someone else's device or any device in the area, simply use the broader search functionality instead. In the My Devices area, click the button marked "Add New Devices or Beacon". The app will display a radar and then show a list of devices that are currently broadcasting a Bluetooth wireless signal. Click the three dots to the right and select "Locate Lost Devices". Next, click Start Scanning. We use the signal strength (SSI) from the device to help you track down its location. High numbers mean you're far away, lower numbers mean that you're close.
